This article discusses the recognition (In Great Britain, though I'm sure the results generalize) among employers that employee health and wellness are important, but that many aren't doing enough. I think this is an area where many health professionals (myself included) have sold themselves short in terms of how much they could help their agency. I am posting this article, in part, because (coincidentally) I jotted down "Becoming more active in wellness programs) on paper today during a training at work. There was a presentation on "Forward Thinking," and I began to think about how else I could contribute to the facility at which I work. Wellness came to mind, among other ideas. I figure, at the very least, I might be able to offer some lunch-time discussions on various wellness topics, including some discussed on this blog. If/when I do, I'll make sure I post about it!
