Hi Renee,
This event changed to a lottery (I think this past year was maybe the first time due to it's popularity), which if I remember correctly from last year, opened up for registration at the beginning of March, and results were provided at the beginning of April. I registered as part of a group, and from my understanding, if even one person of the group gets selected, the whole group goes (so more chance of getting selected this way), or of course, you can register individually.
No one from our group didn't got selected, so I wasn't able to go down this year, but it was sort of bittersweet as I ended up with stress fractures in August.
We will however register again and keep our fingers crossed for this year! Good luck to you as well!

Nike Women's Half Marathon

Just moved to the Bay Area and am very excited to run the Nike Women's Half Marathon in San Francisco that I know is held every October. However, the last few years it has filled up in just a few days- can anyone tell me when the registration begins so I can be sure to run it this year?
