A Rant About Insulin Resistance


Take a minute and look at whatever issues your body is having now. It could be a slow thyroid, ever increasing lack of sleep, never ending abdominal or thigh fat gain, continued sickness, increased wrinkles, joint pain, headaches etc etc.



You get the point, that's a bunch of issues. The one thing they have in common is that they are all related to a lack of insulin control. Insulin is the only hormone that we have control over and insulin acts on every other hormone in our body (estrogen, growth hormone, testosterone etc).



The first thing to do is adjust the amount of carbohydrates in your diet to more fruits, vegatables and foods with fiber. Then cycle them on and off on a daily basis and finish up by adding in Omega-3 fish oil. Just these simple changes will make you feel and look better in no time.



The body tries to keep homeostatis and glucose under control because it is more readily available then fat.



The mistake people make is trying to lower insulin even lower!! By the time you are insulin resistant you already can't keep enough sugar in the cell. If we're insulin resistant we haven't been rebuilding good for years. We hear it all the time but insulin is our friend.
